“Design is a way of life. The greatest feeling is being able to bring someone’s vision to life and knowing that you helped make that happen.”
Shannon has been designing with Nu-Way for five years but has been involved with the flooring industry in one aspect or another since moving to Calgary from Vancouver in 1998. Shannon has always had a passion for the arts, eventually leading her into the construction industry. Her experience and love of all things fashion combine to create beautiful and individual designs. As a Senior Interior Designer, Shannon’s passion is taking a client’s conceptual ideas and evolving them into unique and distinctive designs. Shannon would describe her style as contemporary/ transitional with a rustic twist. Besides design, Shannon’s greatest passion is the ocean. When she is not working, she can be found traveling back to the coast or spending time with her friends, family and dog Mya.
“Creating, transforming, and bringing beauty to a person’s home is a wonderful privilege to be trusted with. This inspires me to design interiors that will suit each client’s aesthetic and lifestyle.”
Tracey came to Nu-Way in 2008 with a background in event planning and quickly found her niche in flooring, which allowed her to combine a love of design with her exceptional project management skills. Change can be stressful for some, especially during what she refers to as the “ruffled nest” phase, so Tracey understands communication is key. Her style is best described as timeless with a fresh twist and she encourages her clients to think not only of what they will enjoy now but also in the years ahead. Outside of Nu-Way, Tracey enjoys an active family life with her husband and 2 sons, attending their numerous sporting events. Spending time with friends, volunteering, hiking and cooking are also among her many interests.
“I love building relationships with people as much as I love building homes. Helping someone to create a space that is welcoming and represents who they are is always my ultimate goal.”
Jenni began her career in flooring and design fourteen years ago and has never looked back. She has spent that time in both Calgary and Ontario, which has provided her with a unique insight into trends not just here in the West but all across the country. Jenni’s love of people is obvious in her approachable nature and love of building customer relationships along with beautiful spaces. She takes great pride in making the renovation or building process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. When not at work, her family is her top priority and you can find her on the run with her husband and twin girls.
“Design is my passion. For me, the key to a great design is capturing the desires of the client and the essence of the space and finding a balance between the two.”
Lindsay has been with Nu-Way for five years, but as part of this family owned and operated business, you could say flooring runs in her blood. She completed her diploma of Interior Decorating and Merchandising from Bow Valley College in 2010 and loves working in this creative and ever-changing field. Lindsay has an infectious energy and enthusiasm for her work that is present in everything she does. She takes pride in making the selection process exciting and enjoyable for her clients. Lindsay would say her own personal design style is contemporary chic or transitional, but she finds beauty and appreciation for all types of design. In her down time she can be found eating at the latest restaurants in town, reading, jogging and spending quality time with her friends and family.
